2010. This is our year to make the Big Barn happen. This is the year to make your pledge to the Barn Raising Capital Campaign so we can start construction after the 2011 Fair.
 

Replacing the hog and sheep barns is the most important project undertaken at the Merced County Fairgrounds for decades. The existing hog barns are over 60 years old, are grossly inadequate to serve our youth in FFA and 4H, have roofing that’s peeling away, and are very limited in use because they can only be used for livestock.
 

We currently have over $200,000 in commitments for the barn project. We need nearly ten times that amount to tear down the old buildings and break ground on the new clear-span structure.
